Board Of Directors

The PICS Society Board of Directors have been steering the organization for over 30 years. In addition to working closely with, and supporting, the Chief Executive Officer, our Board of Directors approve the annual budget and annual report as well as any major capital investment; they actively set the policy for our Society by creating and updating the mission and vision statements and approving the strategic plan. Our Board Members serve as ambassadors for our organization, and participate in robust fundraising by soliciting funds from individuals, foundations, corporations and government entities. Ranbir Manj


Ranbir is a highly accomplished Senior Program Manager and community activist with over 20 years of experience working with new immigrants and mentoring youth and other personals.

Maninder Kaur Garewal

Maninder Grewal started her banking career in 1991 with Khalsa Credit Union (KCU) and has gained rich experience working for various financial institutions learning the ropes of the banking industry over the last three decades.

Arvinder Bubber


Arvinder moved to Canada in 1976 and has been volunteering to strengthen his community and break barriers.
He started living in Regina, Saskatchewan and with the help of his new friends, he learned to volunteer his time for community betterment by joining the Optimist Club. He also served as the first treasurer of the Sikh Society of Regina. He helped establish the first Gurudwara in Regina. After assisting in the community in Regina for 15 years, he moved to BC with his family in 1991.

Sikander Singh Kang – A Registered Physiotherapist  who has been working at various physiotherapy clinics in Richmond, Surrey and New Westminister.

He is extremely diligent, socially connected and willing to work for community and is always ready to give his best to Canada and Canadians.

He joined PICS in 1998 as a frontline staff member and was promoted to Director of Employment Programs and Planning in 2004, going on to become the CEO in 2017. Satbir reinforces PICS Society’s commitment to build a healthy and just society which values and respects all cultures. He is strongly motivated to make our communities better, safer and inclusive.

Gurvinder (Garry) Grewal

A Bachelors in Computer Science and a Masters in Business Administration, Garry Grewal is a Police officer with Royal Canadian Mounted Police. With his rich experience, he also brings a unique perspective towards building a safe and inclusive community.

Dr. Birinder (Tina) Purewal is a practicing dentist and an instructor at the University of British Columbia in the Faculties of Dentistry and Medicine. She upholds PICS mission of promoting harmony and intercultural understanding within the society close to her heart.
