Nimmi Daula is a dynamic leader, community advocate, media professional, and dedicated educator whose journey from a background in horticulture to influential roles in media, education, and public service reflects her unwavering commitment to creating positive change.

Originally from India, Nimmi earned her Master’s degree in Horticulture from Punjab Agricultural University in 1998, laying the foundation for a career shaped by versatility, resilience, and lifelong learning. After immigrating to Canada approximately 25 years ago, she embraced new opportunities with determination, building a meaningful path rooted in service, leadership, and community connection.

With more than 15 years of experience in media, Nimmi continues to work in the field, where she has built a strong reputation in communications, public engagement, community outreach, and leadership. Her ongoing work in media allows her to stay closely connected to the community, amplify important conversations, and help inform and engage diverse audiences.

Driven by a passion for creating impact at a broader level, Nimmi also serves in public office. In 2022, she was elected as a School Board Trustee in Delta, British Columbia, where she advocates for equitable access to quality education, inclusive learning environments, and strong support systems for all students. In this role, she works alongside fellow trustees, educators, families, and community members to help shape policies that support student success and well-being.

Beyond her professional and elected roles, Nimmi is deeply committed to community service and leadership. She served as President of the Rotary Club of Surrey-Newton for the 2023–24 term and remains an active member dedicated to initiatives that address community needs and inspire meaningful change. Her leadership and service have been recognized through multiple honours, including the Rotary District Governor’s People of Action Award.

Her commitment to service was further recognized in 2022, when she received the Certificate of Exemplary Service to the Community in Honour of the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, presented by Hon. Carla Qualtrough, MP for Delta.

Fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi, Nimmi brings compassion, cultural understanding, and a collaborative spirit to every role she takes on. Whether through media, education, or community leadership, she remains dedicated to building a more inclusive, equitable, and thriving community for all.
