Inderjeet Hundal

Inderjeet Hundal has completed a Bachelor of Arts and also completed training in negotiation and dispute resolution. He has contributed to seniors’ welfare, has been a long-time advocate for cross cultural understanding in our community and a long standing voice for a more tolerant and fair society. He is a founding member of the Collingwood Neighbourhood House where a range of programs and activities are offered. As its founding member, Inderjeet ensured that integration, fairness, cooperation and mutual respect are some of the values central to its programs.
In 1993 he was appointed to the Workers’ Compensation Review Board (WCRB), a milestone itself, since he was the first South Asian appointed to this Board. In 2002 Inderjeet was appointed as a Vice-Chair of the Workers Compensation Appeal Tribunal (WCAT) of BC where he made precedent setting decisions that are still in effect today. In 2006, Inderjeet joined PICS Society, and serves as the Director of Seniors’ Care Facilities. On November 18, 2012, Inderjeet was recognized for his outstanding community service and tireless dedication to the Province of British Columbia and was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
