About WorkBC Program
This Program provides free comprehensive employment support services in British Columbia for unemployed individuals over 16. Offering resources such as job search assistance, workshops on various employment-related topics, and one-on-one counseling, this program is dedicated to helping residents legally able to work in Canada find suitable employment.
Employment Resource Centre – Self Serve
- Job search assistance and supports
- Workshops on job search related topics: Setting Your Job Search Strategies; Resumes; Cover letters; The Hidden Job Market/Networking; Interview Skills; and others
- Employment/Career Advisor available
- Computers, Internet, free wi-fi, phone, faxing, photocopier, scanner, MS Office
- Job postings and community resources
- Newspapers, business magazines, extensive job search/career planning resource library
Case Management Services
- One on one employment counselling
- Help with job search, career planning and accessing community resources.
- Employment/Career Advisor available
- Possible government funding for: short term industry training; longer-term, career related training; wage subsidy; self-employment

Immigration Status + Current resident of BC
- Canadian Citizen
- Permanent Resident
- Refugee with Court Notice of Decision
Employment Status
- Unemployed
Age
- Age of 16 or above

- Must not be attending regular full-time School
