Northern BC Workforce Career Transition Training Project

Project Overview

The Northern BC Workforce Career Transition Project is funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Retraining and Opportunities Initiative. The project focuses on supporting workers who were affected by mass lay offs in Prince George, Vanderhoof, Mackenzie, Quesnel and nearby communities. The project will provide skills training opportunities for participants to find meaningful employment.

This project will also develop a community workforce development plan in collaboration with local employers, training providers and community serving organizations. The objective of the plan is to align skills training with employer needs in the Northern BC community to help participants find in-demand careers in high growth sectors.
