About This Program
This program is funded by the Government of Canada. Our objective is to assist temporary migrant workers in British Columbia by offering the necessary support and information to enhance their living and working experience throughout their stay in Canada. We strive to raise awareness and understanding among both workers and employers regarding the needs, challenges, and issues faced by migrant workers.
Services we offer
- English language training and conversation sessions
- Awareness workshops to improve understanding of rights and responsibilities of migrant workers
- Need based translation and interpretation services
- Essential Support for Basic Needs during emergency situations like job loss or employer mistreatment
- One-on-one case management (i.e., applying for government and health benefits, and job search support)
- Support and orientation to employers regarding new provincial regulations for hiring temporary foreign workers
- Cultural events to foster inclusion and welcoming in Canadian society
- Apply for vulnerable open work permit applications
