ECE Assistant program for Survivors of Domestic Violence (SOV)

Our 22 weeks fully funded training program is designed to empower, eliminate systemic barriers and increase the likelihood of attaining sustainable employment. Participants will complete their essential skills and employability skills training with us at PICS through online sessions and move to Western Community College to take occupational skills training to become an Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECE Assistant). Practicum period of 4 weeks is also incorporated in the training program to enhance participant’s knowledge.

Upon successful completion of the training and work experience, participants will receive a certificate of completion by PICS and Western Community College, and will be supported towards full-time employment. Participants can also register themselves as a “Registered ECE Assistant in British Columbia”.
