PICS Society is offering a FREE of charge an employment program called The Intercultural Logistics and Transportation Operations Project for Older Workers 55+, funded by the government that consist of 8 weeks group activities and 10 weeks of one-on-one job search assistance and self employment support .
If you are 55+, Canadian or New to Canada and are unable to find a job, come join the ILTOP 55+ program to find the career that is right for you. Employability readiness workshops are available in both PICS’ Surrey and Vancouver locations.

This program partners with local community and business employers who provide one to one follow up support, up to date employment trends, and follow up assistance for up to 10 weeks.

Eligibility Criteria:
- A mature individual of 55 years old or older
- Unemployed, underemployed, or precariously employed
- Not attending full time Day School for any courses
- Legally entitled to work in Canada (Refugees, PRs, and Citizens accepted)
- Job ready, committed, and motivated to finding a Job
- Residing in BC
Free Training:
- Resume and cover letter building
- Occupational skills training
- Basic Business Coaching in transportation
- Development of work action plan and employer engagement
Program Highlights:
- Free, Class 4 license or Training as Transportation Logistics Worker or alternate training relevant to your DREAM job
- First Aid-1
- Job mentorship
- Strengthened job search experience
- Self-employment training
