Immunization Uptake Project (IUP)

Immunization Uptake Project (IUP) is a Project for ethno-cultural Communities to promote vaccination and guide patients on the topic of vaccination in general and COVID-19 vaccination in particular, increasing their confidence in vaccines and addressing barriers to acceptance and uptake of COVID-19 vaccines in a culturally safe and linguistically accessible manner.  The main aim of the project is to increase knowledge and improve attitude in regards to COVID-19 vaccines and other vaccines and diminish the stigma in immigrants, refugees and ethno-cultural Metro Vancouver communities in order to increase vaccination uptake.

IUP Project provides the following services:

  • Referral/Access to Healthcare
  • Immunization information Sessions
  • Follow-up Care
