PICS Society Health Programs include programs for HIV and HEP C. PICS’ HIV and Hepatitis C Intervention Project provides an effective health awareness among immigrants and refugee claimants. The program objective is to mitigate the attached stigma and to enhance the mindset of the public to get tested within the health care cascade.

HIV

PICS HIV/AIDS Awareness project focuses on preventing the spread of HIV through education and information about the disease and sexual health in general.

A.C.T.I.O.N. Project

The Centre for Living Organ Donation at University Health Network and Providence Health Care Research Institute at Providence Health Care are pleased to launch A.C.T.I.O.N., a joint project to reduce inequities in access to living kidney donation and transplantation in the South Asian and Black, African and Caribbean (ACB) communities in British Columbia and Ontario.
