The United in Change grant is supporting key programs at PICS which include summer camps for children between the ages of 3-6 and 6-12. There are three camps that run for 3 weeks from July to August every year. Participants are encouraged to register in June.
There are 2 Youth Summer Camps for the children between the ages of 6-12. The activities include:
- T-shirt Dying
- Artwork
- Field Trips
- Picnic
- Movie Time
- Karate
- Baking Sessions
- Other Activities
Any youth between the age of 6-12 is welcome to attend. Continuous attendance is required for 3 weeks, from Monday to Friday. The camps run between 9 am -12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm. Attendees can choose the morning or afternoon shifts. To sign up, please contact 604-596-7722 Ext.145.
There is a separate summer camp for children between 3-6 years of age as well. The camp focuses on educational and meaningful activities and includes engaging activities such as:
- Canada Day celebrations
- Field Trips
- Arts & Crafts
- Music and Movement
