Extremely happy with the level of care her mother received at PICS Assisted Living, Shelina Mawani and Naseem Dhanji sisters and owners of Nana’s Kitchen and Hot Sauces ltd recently donated $5,000 to PICS Diversity Village. “My mother spoke no English and we were therefore concerned about sending her to a home where she wouldn’t be understood, but we were extremely happy with the level of culturally sensitive services she was provided here,” said Mawani. And though Mawani’s mother has passed, Mawani continues to be closely associated with PICS seniors housing often visiting the seniors and organizing cultural programs for them. “PICS is very close to my heart and I fully support PICS Diversity Village. A home such as this is urgently needed in our community,” said Mawani.
