Surrey – Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women Dr. Kellie Leitch visited the head offices of Progressive Intercultural Community Services Society and toured Harmony House, a second stage transition home run by the organization in Surrey this morning.
She was accompanied by Harpreet Singh, Conservative candidate for Surrey-Newton.
At Harmony House, the Minister was apprised of the great need that exists in the community for culturally sensitive transition homes where ethnic women battling relationship abuse are able to rebuild their lives in a safe and productive manner.
The Minister applauded the efforts of PICS and especially of CEO Mr. Charan Gill about the stellar work that PICS continues to do in providing services to the community.
