Management and Residents of PICS Assisted Living organized their annual Akhand Path (continuous recitation of the Sikh Holy Book, Sri Guru Granth Sahib) from August 4 to August 6, 2017.
Congratulations to our staff at PICS who have completed 10 years of service at our Assisted Living facility. PICS Assisted Living facility scored the highest rate of satisfaction in a survey conducted by Fraser Health Region recently and the credit certainly goes to our excellent staff.
Community media in Lower Mainland, especially South Asian media has been extremely helpful in disseminating important information about PICS and it's programs. Whether it's our settlement, employment senior or programs for women and youth the media has always helped us in getting the word out.
PICS CEO Mr. Charan Gill has been honoured with the Drishti Lifetime Achievement Award 2016. The award was given to Mr. Gill for devoting more than 35 years of his life towards the betterment of the community by finding practical solutions to community needs.
BC Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Hon. Suzanne Anton visited PICS Assisted Living, BC's only culturally sensitive Assisted Living facility. She toured the facility and interacted with seniors. PICS CEO Charan Gill and PICS Board President Bobby Pawar presented Minister Anton with a plaque of appreciation for her continued support to PICS.
PICS has thanked local radio station RED FM for graciously hosting a radiothon in support of PICS Diversity Village. President of RED FM Mr. Kulwinder Sanghera along with General Manager Bijoy Samuel and radio host Pooja Sekhon accepted the plaque presented to them by PICS CEO Mr. Charan Gill and President of PICS Board of Directors Bobby Pawar.
